"As seen on Global television, BRANDED: SAVING OUR TOWN, by Realize Entertainment"

Explore Big River
and area

Big River is The Gateway to the North, a vast area covering half of Saskatchewan which remains largely undeveloped and is rich in wildlife of all types.

Our area provides many opportunities to enjoy nature, from camping and boating at one of the many lodges or lakes in the summer, to hunting and fishing in the autumn, to snowmobiling or skiing during the winter, and ecotouring in any season.

Big River has always had a close relationship with its surrounding forests and lakes. It began as a company town created as a base for the lumber industry at the turn of the 20th century. Commercial fishing also played a major role in the town in the early years.

Big River is just north of Saskatchewan's extensive grain belt and about 16 kilometers west of Prince Albert National Park. Except for some land cleared for farming and a few natural meadows, the town is surrounded by the northern boreal forest and hundreds of lakes.

Come on in, and explore our town and area at your leisure, and feel free to contact us if you would like more information.
